Couldn't figure out how to add text to the above picture. Heres the question. I need to run a line off the positive of the battery. IIRC the BCIM has to be accounted for. Which nut can I use?
I'm fixing a accessory install for a power strip in the bed ( just 3 12v cig lighter type ) that I was told went right to the battery. Instead they tapped into a random hot wire under the dash. I'de ratger not tap into an unknown.

You can draw off the positive post all day without issues. The negative terminal has a current sensing shunt that you need to tap from the truck side of.

What kind of load are you thinking there will be on the bed connections? You can use the top center nut to attach your wire lug.

I wanted to replicate the setup in my old truck. It also had a cap with a couple of 3 12v cig type plugs. One powered up with ignition the other was always hot. I used the ignition one to power a dashcam attached to the rear window of the cap. This time I paid the ARE cap dealer to install an ignition on power strip when installing the cap. It didn't work at all. I returned to deal with a cap leak and asked for a fix to the power strip also. The dealer lied saying he went straight to the battery when what he did was tap into a random hotwire under the dash. I'm not comfortable with that and will do what I should have in the first place , run the wire myself to the battery. I don't trust the dealer at all at this point. He lost at least one piece of business , installing the BedRug. Which I did myself last week , turned out nice , I'll post some pics.
So , please excuse the rant , and back to the question :) The load will be just a dashcam and occasionally a 12v fan. The constant hot line will have a toggle off switch out of sight under the dash. On some long trips I sleep in the bed. I'm thinking , in addition of trying to divert some ac back there through the rear windows. One of the big reasons in picking the PB , efficient AC use at truck stops.

I would just run a #12 stranded 2 wire cable right from the battery to the back. The ground , I would run to the bolt on the rad cradle in front of the battery. I would put a 10 amp fuse in line with the hot wire, right at the battery. JIC the wire gets shorted to gnd.
