I got the AVS low-profile vent visors, part number 894044, and I got something different than I expected. I've scoured the Internet trying to figure it out - it's like they recently changed styles, or I got the ones intended for the Super Duty... Except it says right on it that it fits the f-150 too. I'm confused.

If you have the AVS low-profile exterior stick-on vent visors, would you mind sharing a photo of yours and the part number you ordered?

I'll post the ones I got here, and the two posts below will be what I expected vs what I think I have so you can see the difference.

Here are the ones I was expecting. They are smoother and contoured, no harsh 90-degree bend on the bottom edge. There is also a tab on the front-most point that's supposed to slip behind the mirror trim. And the bottom edge bump-out tapers down to just a flat edge where they meet between the two doors.

The first pic is the product photo that's on every retailers site I could find. Other pics are from Amazon reviews.

Here are a couple examples of the ones I got. The harsh bump-out continues across the B-pillar door seams. There is no tab on the front. They seem wider, and one install example I found has them mounted all the way to the top of the door, which looks correct to me based on their design... but I don't like that look. These are way different than the product photo above, but as far as I can tell they have the same part number? Oddly enough the Ford accessories website has these listed as made by Lund, but the package I have is clearly from AVS.

I'll be reaching out to RealTruck where I got them to see what they say. Really wish I could be certain I can get the ones from the post above somehow...

I can't recall where I bought mine from, but either directly from Ford, or perhaps online from Fairway Ford. They are not branded with AVS, and from what I can recall, they were shrink-wrapped in either a brown or white cardboard.

Interesting, thanks. These look like the Lund ones, that I just got branded by AVS.

Update: heard from RealTruck and they said that yes, AVS started molding them in 2021. I don't know if this means they were outsourcing them prior and this is their new design? I presume the switch happened in 2021 though, probably for the F150 redesign in 2021. I also don't know why I'm seeing 2021 trucks with the old AVS style low-profile deflectors. And I further don't know why the new AVS is the same as the Lund offering... so mysterious.

Wish I could get my hands on the old style somehow...
