'23 F-150 Powerboost King Ranch, just a tad over 2,600 miles. Check engine light came on. The soonest the dealership can get it in is June 28th. I thought that was nuts, so I called a neighboring county's dealership. July 12th! Either they need more mechanics or there are a lot of issues going on. Anyway, here is what I have, top to bottom, six faults, top four are yellow, last two are green:
PENDING FAULT P1A43 - Powertrain - Tap "Web" for more information (says unknown)
PENDING FAULT P1A43 - Powertrain
PENDING FAULT U0100 - Network - Tap "Web" for more information (says unknown)
PENDING FAULT U0100 - Network
HISTORIC FAULT P1A42 - Powertrain - Tap "Web" for more information (says unknown)
HISTORIC FAULT P1A42
I was expecting to just tap on the error code in the Torque app and it would tell me what the code was. It opens up troublecodes.net and it doesn't know either. Is my truck just throwing weird codes? Does the app normally provide details?

I’m no tech so not positive, but doesn’t “pending” imply the truck is still giving some thought as to throw a code.
Could be motor burped or farted and the computers are going “ what the f*** was that?”
I’ve seen a couple of those on the kid’s Taurus and the ‘puter just finally decided it was not worth the trouble to add the fault to “events”

No, I didn't clear the codes, figuring that would give the dealership an excuse to just blow me off.

Not sure what it gets you but FWIW, following are hits on those DTC's from searching the 2022 workshop manual (wishing you good luck at the dealer!):

P1A43:00
  • Description: Hybrid/EV Battery Contactor Request Signal Performance: No Sub Type Information
  • Pinpoint Test 1: L: P1A43:00 (High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables - Full Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FHEV))
  • Pinpoint Test 2: J: P1A43:00 (High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables - Electric)
U0100:00
  • Description: Lost Communication With ECM/PCM 'A': No Sub Type Information
  • Pinpoint Test: There are multiple different pinpoint tests listed for many different modules which may be affected (ABS, ACM, APIM, etc, etc)
P1A42:00
  • Description: Propulsion System Status Signal Performance: No Sub Type Information
  • Pinpoint test 1: K: P1A42:00 (High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables - Full Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FHEV))
  • Pinpoint Test 2: I: P1A42:00 (High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables - Electric)

Yep, looks like a lot of "beats the hell out of me!" But it doesn't look like anything indicating that the engine is going to fall out, so I'll see what the dealer says - eventually.

An update: I go out yesterday for yet another trip to a doctor, start up the truck, and surprise, no "check engine" light! Sure enough, all of them cleared out on their own except one. And the truck turned off the dash light. So now I wonder if I should just cancel the dealership visit. There is still a Powertrain code, but it seems the truck doesn't think that it is a big deal.

Just my own personal opinion......

Avoid, if at all possible, unless the truck is on fire and the only fire extinguisher in town is at the dealership.

And I'm not sure I wouldn't just let it burn instead.

Too strong? ?

Replace the 12v battery. Buy it and do it yourself if you have to. Multiple reports of PB trucks with bad batteries from the factory that had a ton of mystery codes until a new one replaced it. Worth a shot.
