Has anyone else noticed that the compass is slow to respond? Seems as though it could take a good 1-2 minutes before the direction gets updated. I'm thinking it could be due to lousy reception as 5G is constantly going in and out. Which brings up another question if there's any way to get better service.

Yes my 2022 is the same way as well as one of my coworker’s 2022. I’m a August build I think he’s a October. There is a TSB for February 2022s and earlier but not later builds. Took mine to the dealer and they did some software updates but the tech had no idea how to fix it. I saw on one of the Tremor forums a guy was having the same issue.

I'm a late build as well. Not that big of a deal but would be nice if it worked properly. But hey, what do you expect for a $65,000 truck

I’ve noticed this issue as well. Also a ‘22 XLT, built 9/22 with the Nav and SiriusXM delete. Sometimes it’s spot on and I can watch it cycle through the directions in a turn. Other times it just stays stuck in one direction or updates incredibly slow. I did add SiriusXM back and part of that was swapping the antenna on the roof and that seems to have improved how often it actually functions, which I’d say is more often than not. Prior to this it rarely updated. The situations I notice it not working are after the first drive of the day if it’s short. For instance, jump in the truck and it’s working for the five miles to the gas station. Stop to fill the truck up, and when I get back in to continue on with my trip, it gets “stuck” or updates slowly. I had a ‘21 prior to this (no deletes) and that seemed to always function as expected, likely because it had Nav. My workaround for when the compass isn’t working is to just pull up the map on CarPlay as it has the compass heading in the top right of the map.

Thanks @Rineland, my experience is very similar to yours. At first it works like a champ, then after 10 mins or so it gets very slow. Not sure if it's a coincidence but when I notice the truck is connected to 5G it seems to respond a bit better.

What was involved in swapping the antenna ? I'm not interested in adding Sirius as I have it in my other car so I can just stream it from my phone.

If I recall correctly, Jesse replied to a thread where people complained about the compass and GPS and he said to edit a line using Forscan. Can't find it right now and not sure if it pertains to this but I'll continue to look for it and perhaps he'll notice this thread and respond ?

Thanks
