Catless/High flow downpipes?

I'm deciding what to get for my 3.5L ecoboost, it already has the borla S-type dual exit exhaust. And was wondering if a catless or highflow downpipe would happen to make my exhaust louder? cant really find much on google so was gonna see whats up on here.

Tough to find as catless exhausts systems are illegal on anything you wanna drive on-road.

I suppose you could delete them yourself but you'd risk a pretty hefty penalty if the law man ever found out.

My research and experience suggests that a catted high-flow system with a good intake, good fuel, and less restrictive boost plumbing would be a nice improvement. You could also replace the stock muffler/resonator and get some more noise if that's what you're after.

So I get that catless Downpipes are illegal so they don’t sell them anymore. I can’t find any high flow catted Downpipes available for this gen. There’s a ton for the 18-20 year models. I figured they would have some by now, at least for “off-road” use

There are none out yet as far as I'm aware for 21+ however SPD and CVF are working on them

I have been wondering if anyone has purchased this downpipe and how difficult the install would be.
I'd also like to hear the sound difference and what kind of gains were to be had from this downpipe if anyone's got it!

I saw someone on the Gen 14 Facebook group just got a set a couple days ago. Gains better be pretty good for $2200! I want a set but I'm not spending that kind of money for them. My father in-law got a set of Livernois downpipes for his 2011 3.5 EB for around $500 but that was 10 years ago. Hard to believe the price more than quadrupled in a decade.

I'm sure SPD needs to recoup there costs for R&D but at that price I'd be curious how many they sell.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Over $2000 is absolute insanity to me. Wondering myself how many of these units are actually being sold. I bet if they lowered the price by $500-750 they’d sell a hell of a lot more, but what do I know. Anybody else have a set of these yet?
