I have a question for you guys that have had their trucks for quite some time.
I hate rattles and squeaks with a deathly passion, and I am curious as to how tight your trucks have remained over the years.
Reason I ask is my 98 K1500 in the lowly Cheyenne trim is still rattle and squeak free after 200,000 miles, and half of those were doing service as a farm and pasture truck.
My 79 C-10 was still the tightest truck I had ever been in even after 400,000 and 30 years.
(Been parked for over 10 yrs now)
My 05 Ranger has a door rattle that just annoys me and when tightened up, starts rattling again right away. Also door rubber seems to have collapsed.
granted, it is a Ranger (XLT) and as such a “throwaway “ truck, but has never been abused, dealt with city commuting, or off roaming. 130k easy miles
