I was just wondering if leaving fob in truck all the time would run down battery since fob is always communicating with truck to push button to start? I've gotten into habit of leaving fob in truck and pressing 7-8/9-0 to lock truck. There are times I may not start truck 4-5 days at a time. Something to think aboout! Tom

I would not leave the fob in the truck. That is like leaving the keys in the ignition. Also, I usually would park my truck in the garage and the fob in a basket inside beside the door to the garage. If someone went into the garage the area lighting would detect the person and the fob and turn the lights on. The truck may not totally shut down the modules because it detects the fob. All this would drain your battery.
