does anyone know of a good dealer with BC experience in the RDU area of North Carolina ?

Cavalier Ford in Chesapeake Virginia is doing a good job with my truck. I know that’s a little too far for you but I should be complete with blue crews update today.

I’m well into 5 days in the shop. Dealer says two more updates and it’s updated. Cavalier Ford in Chesapeak, VA seems competent.

All you need to do is follow though blog here and see that it is not an easy update. They have to babysit each and every step and make sure that the update actually takes before the next. I’m happy with where they are going as funny as that sounds.

Read this thread? This isn't my first rodeo. Read many times and have done them all myself with help from the gurus here.. I've learned a lot here and spent a lot of money to do so. Many thanks go to the folks here that actually made this all work. Think I wanted to do this and spend more money?

You're sitting back letting the dealer handle it. Been there done that, we ended up doing it ourselves. The time a dealer should have your vehicle is 2 days max if they know what they are doing. I did dozens of updates in 3-5 hours and they are all done. The dealer is taking that long because they either are not sure how or they don't want to baby sit your car.
If you want to give your dealer the creds, that is fine. But Ford is the guilty party. I love my dealer, but not what Ford is putting us through as well as the poor dealers that are really trying.

Yep dealer creds. They fixed a stuck in park problem that created an issue where I had to be towed to the dealer, several recalls and BC updates.

Just got it back from the dealership with bluecruise enabled! I had it in for a couple of things and they went ahead and updated the blue cruise.

At one point the technician had to sit with my truck for most of the day to get one sticky update to load. I’ve been beating up Ford a lot over the last few months for their delay. But I did give the dealership kudos for their hard work. They also replaced the console shifter since it had a major failure in mechanical parts.

Just got it back from the dealership with bluecruise enabled! I had it in for a couple of things and they went ahead and updated the blue cruise. Interestingly free trial doesn’t expire until 2024.

2023, not 2024... you get a free year from time of activation.

I just received update 2.8.2 overnight last night. Along with the notification from Ford that bluecruise is now active however I didn't have to schedule any downtime unless it did it last night when I have updates scheduled..?
Question for those of you that have confirmed functioning BC, in the truck where it displays your software versions does it show a BC subscription status? Because mine does not yet, but I received the email that BC is functional. Unfortunately I have not been able to test it out yet on a certified BC road. Also in the updates notes on the truck it says a series of more updates will be coming very soon.

Are you in the Early Access Program? I did see someone updated the wiki on Ford Power-Up versions to indicate 2.8.3 is the current general release version. Fingers crossed this is finally being rolled out to everyone.

Not in EAP. Job 1 Nov 2020 build. I did double check it said specifically 2.8.2.

Also I have been receiving updates at a rate of about 2 a week lately. I was at 2.3.0 at the beginning of May. And when it updated last night it was parked not on wifi. I work some nights so it was sitting in my work parking lot.
