I'm looking to add an underseat subwoofer box for my 23 SCREW. I have the non BO system, and have already replaced all speakers with Infinity References speakers and added some Dynamat to the doors. I'm thinking PROBABLY a single 10" or 12" JL W3 subwoofer and a 500 RMS mono amp. I'd prefer a sealed box over vented. Where is a good place to find a good box for this setup?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've considered it, but I've never been a huge fan of Kicker subs. They're great for SPL, but not terribly musical. If I were going for an all in one package, I might consider this; https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13693331/JL-Audio-ACP208LG-W3v3.html?tp=114
I think this one would surprise you though. The JL package is nice as well. But if your ok using more space, consider

My truck was mocked up as the prototype, small, yet hammers and sounds great. Leaves ya $300 towards an amp.

That is pretty, I must say. Is the box sealed, I assume? What type of music do you listen to? My concern is the frequency response of the L7s. Only going up to 100hz leaves a pretty narrow response band.

Yessir sealed. Play low enough, yet remains accurate. I listen to country,. the new stuff and some old rock and roll. Some new stuff.
If you have great midbass, I think you'll be fine. We sell a BUNCH of these. Because for $799, hard to beat.

It is a tough deal to beat. I had a 12" L7 in my Ford Explorer back when I was teenager. It was probably getting about 700 watts, but was ported, and at 39 years old, I prefer sealed these days. I'm thinking about the JL Audio 1000 watt amp, but a little afraid of overpowering the rest of speakers. I'm running my Infinity speakers off of OEM power, but their higher sensitivity did increase volume levels a bit. Do you have your door speakers and tweeters amplified?

Yessir, I currently have the SoundsGoodStereo sub enclosure, with two ported, get this, RT6.75" midbass drivers, and it still sounds amazing!
I have Kicker Q Class componenets up front, mid in door, tweet on dash. Q Class coax in rear door. All powered on a KXMA900.5 amplifier. I'm changing sub enclosures, and moving to the new LX1300.7 7 channel amplifier, has more door power and sub power.

How does this compare to the HS10?

1743785563524-ri.jpg
The SGS enclosure will have more output. Two 6.5" subs in a ported box with say, 400-500rms.
The HS10 is a smaller amp, but also is a much lower price point and has a much smaller footprint. For ease of install, the 51HS10 is SUPER popular and does it for a majority of people, just wanting to add some low end bass to the system.
