Ford F-150 Behind the Grille Light Kit 3

If you're looking lighting setup that's hidden behind your grill then this is the kit for you! This bolt-on kit allows you to run 6x lights behind the grill of your F-150, giving you a tremendous amount of light down range. The include KR Off-Road brackets are made from stainless steel here in the USA (and powder coated black) and allow you to mount your lights in a variety of ways. The mounting channels on the KR Off-Road brackets ensure you can install the lights in a variety of ways. If you prefer to keep the lights lower in the grill, you got it! Maybe you want the lights up higher, no problem. The vertical alignment channels allow for this flexibility.

We also make wiring easy with the included CrystaLux wiring harness. This harness has 6x Weatherpack connectors on it that plug directly into the lights. The other end of the harness has 3 wires (plus a ground) that you can wire to an existing upfitter switch (or switch panel). Each pair of lights can operate independently on it's own switch allowing you to turn on lights for whatever the road condition is ahead of you. If your truck doesn't have auxiliary switches, no problem. We've included 3 switched harnesses as well which include relays and rocker switches allowing you to mount the switches on your dash board.

INCLUDES:
  • 1x Pair of KR Off-Road Brackets
  • 3x Pairs of Lights (or 2x Light Bars)
  • 1x CrystaLux Wiring Harness (for OEM auxiliary switches or aftermarket switch panels)
  • Mounting Hardware
  • Instructions
  • Our Lifetime Guarantee. For as long as you own your F150, if you manage to break/bend/destroy the KR Off-Road brackets we'll replace them free of charge (not including return shipping)
FITMENT:
  • 2015+ Ford F-150 (including Raptor and ALL trim levels)
NOTE: This product will require the removal of some of the active shutters in your grill. Actual height adjustment may be limited depending on your grill design (non-Raptors may require the lights to sit higher behind a grill then on a Raptor). Your grill must have an active shutter system.

How much lighting do you think you loose with them being behind the grill (6x ss3)?
I like the idea of them behind the grill for protection & theft reasons vs the outsidt ss5 x5 kit. However that said I have the SS3/SS2 kit on my bronco & feel the light output is lacking compared to a 20" light bar that I had on my F250.
So if the ss3 looses a lot of light being blocked & distorted by the grill if would appear to be more an asthetic option vs the functional output I am hoping for.

You lose a little bit depending on what kind of grill you have.

It's also about what kind of lights. Did you do Sport/Pro/Max SS3 on the Bronco. Did you do Sport/Pro on the SSC2? Remember the SSC2 are very small and don't put out nearly as much light as the SS3. SO if you have 1x SS3 and 2x SSC2 per side you don't have the brightest lights possible.

We're running 6x SS3 Max behind our grill and it's pretty bright.

It's definitely functional that's for sure. We'll have to do a test in the shop and throw a pair of SS3 on behind the grill and then a pair on without the grill to see

Thanks that would be interesting to see. Unfortunately I have the xlt grill so I may be sol.
I would definitely go all Max white. I have max/max/Pro on the bronco but one set of the max is yellow so combined with the s2 that is where I loose out put.

Our kit works on ALL grilles.

The SSC2 compared to an SS3, especially a Max, will look like they are turned off. The SS3 Max is so much brighter
