I was about to buy the Banks (because I'm familiar and have used them in the past)... and then I saw an ad for the Roar unit.
Anyone know which is better? I don't care about the lower cost of the Roar... just want the best unit (and this one was new to me).

I don't know anything about the Roar unit but I absolutely love my Banks Pedal Monster.

The feel of the pedal is night any day now, exactly what I wanted. For me, well worth the money.

See... I've had the Banks on everything else I have (like you...I love it). I was going to order one for my incoming '25 Plat, but saw an add for the Roar, and I was just wondering about it.

Well...looks like I cannot use the Banks after all. I want to install a JB4 system on the truck (which uses the OBD connector). JB4 locks out any other OBD connected devices to ensure the safety of the operating system. So...Banks cannot be used this time.

Hmmm...now which one? Pedal Commander, Roar, or the BMS Pedal Controller that's made by the same company as the JB4 unit (probably the best option).

What is a JB4? The thing with using an OBD for the pedal controller is it 1) locks out the boosted throttle input reverse for safety and 2) if the controller fails or cuts out, you still have factory pedal control instead of a dead stick

Sorry...I'm from the BMW world. The JB4 is a "tuner" device to keep it simple (but much, much more). They focus on turbo engines, and easily add 100hp to the Ecoboost setup. BUT...this unit isn't just a simple plug-n-play tuner. It requires an OBD connection, because it's totally integrate through all of the trucks drivetrain sensors.
And that's why they lockout and other devices connected to the OBD port...they don't want anything interfering with the JB4 settings. Being that the JB4 is fully controllable, many people create or use tunes that are "on the edge" and therefore cannot chance any interference. Even though that's not me, the JB4 still doesn't allow for ODB connections otherwise.

So the Banks is a no-go with a JB4.
