BAK x4s - slat alignment

Hey! Is this common? BAK is replacing the cover under warranty. Great service so far. Just wondering if this is a common problem? I really like the cover, just hoping the new one holds up.

When I roll the cover the slats are disengaging and bind when opening. When this happens, now every time, the cover won’t close.

Not normal. My first one on my wife’s truck arrived like that, but it was up at the cab end of the cover. Bak replaced it under warranty. New cover is perfect.
Edit: I should say was perfect. The top half of a tree landed on the truck and broke the bed end of the cover and bent the rails.

I honestly hope it comes in perfect, too. The whole reason my wife liked it was because of how flat and clean it looks on her truck. We shall see when we finally get the truck into the shop. Fingers crossed.
