B&O sound still occasionally terrible

I have a 21 F150 3.5L PB Lariat with the B&O sound system that suddenly sounded god awful a couple of years ago. Took it to the dealer where them problem was confirmed and the APIM replaced. Until a few weeks ago all was good. But for the last months occasionally I will experience very scratchy audio regardless of the source, (even the parking assist audio).
39 months old but only 29k on the odometer.
has anyone else experienced this?
