My truck has the auto dimming rear view mirror, but the door mirror does not. I recently purchased a pair of "loaded" power folding mirrors from Boosted Grey Goose and the driver door mirror glass has the dimming feature.

I've read that pin 2 on the drivers door module (DDM) could be the signal to control the dimming feature. I'm thinking that since my rear view mirror auto dims, I already have the capability in the door/DDM. All it would take is a similar sized wire and pin connectors like the power fold mirror harness to complete this project.

Looking for any thoughts on this please. Maybe a confirmation of my theory, honestly I'm not sure how I can even confirm pin 2 is correct or some other pin on the DDM.

TIA

@TexasTruck did you figure your mirror out? I recently purchased some loaded mirrors for my XLT and the auto dimming feature does t work.

@amhauke No, I did not. Some one mentioned the drivers mirror auto dimming circuit is connected directly to the interior rear view mirror (pin 2). They suggested running a new wire from that mirror over and down to the pin that goes to the glass.
