Apple CarPlay issue

Anyone else have this problem? After I receive a message and read it, the unread message icon doesn’t go away. To clear it I have to switch to the phone or other app and then go back to the message one.

It has to be an issue with the truck as I have wireless CarPlay in my corvette and it works perfectly.

My '21 does the same thing. I've just learned to ignore it and stay on the "now playing" screen.
