Anyone removed/replaced driver side register?

Attached are three pages from the F150 Service Manual regarding removing the driver side register. I was able to remove the LH register bezel as in Step 1 and the two bolts in step 2. I have been able to free up the register at the top and the left side (closest to the door). I have been completely unsuccessful in trying to separate the register from the bezel around the IPC. I am concerned that using any more force will break something
Has anyone done this R&R? Anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't one, but working on other trim that is uncooperative I have found the best resource is actually ebay as it allows you to see what the part really looks like (versus the limited use renders) with clips. Specifically where the best pry locations are or anything that could hang them up.

The green clips and general part tolerances will make some very difficult to remove and feel uncomfortable, but some just take that level of pressure to come free. My opinion is the clips are designed as the weak link and will break instead of the tab or the hole that is retaining them. I have seen many parts on ebay missing the plastic retaining clips or they are pretty deformed, so its just a case of the tolerances you end up with.

Hopefully this pic helps. Its the greenish bastards in the pic. Dont see any sticking points, just have to mean it. Try to apply load pressure as perpendicular as possible and apply what is needed even if it feels like to much, It'll come. Worse case is you have to buy new clips, but they are less than $2 each and you only have two. Most on ebay had them, so thats a good sign.
