Anyone remove the dash speaker grills yet?

I have about 20 tools to pry with, and I can't get any of them wedged don't in between the dash and speaker grill/cover. I even tried the angled pick, but it would have torn the perforation had I continued to pull on it.

Any ideas short of mutilating the cover and buying new ones?

Grill doesn't come off. The entire defrost panel is a single mold. ?

Ahhhh... duh me!!! I knew something was right about it. I thought maybe they had glued it in. Beautiful... it all makes sense to this old rednecking hillbilly now.
