There is a very long story to this but I'll skip for now
Anyway, Have been chasing a no heat issue on the driver side of my 21 F-150 with dual climate.
Ford dealer replaced blend doors, evap assembly in the dash (was internally damaged) vacuum pumped and filled coolant, etc.
After a back and forth for about 3 months with the dealer I went to a local mechanic and the found the lack of heat was the inlet tube in the engine bay was twisted and kinked under the foam engine cover. I now have heat but unfortunately have a new problem.
The driver side fogs up when running the heater to the point where you almost cant see out the windows on the driver side. at random times since getting the truck back from the dealer I can smell coolant in the cab. (Hate the sickly sweet smell) On the passenger side, the carpet doesn't get damp but if you pull it back you see evidence of some form of moisture.
my thoughts are a leak from the core tubes that run from the core to the firewall or from the core itself. If anyone else has dealt with this before I'd love to hear about it. Either way a good portion of my dash has to come out to look at it and repair so its back at the local mechanic. I generally am good with DIY but in this case I don't have the time or space to work on something of this scale.
I'll post the findings from local shop and hopefully this will be helpful in the future for someone.
