On a couple of occasions, I have seen crazy wrong outside temperature readings when starting the truck. Like reading in the mid 90’s F when it is really in the mid 60’s. It does come down (at ~ 1 deg F / sec) after running for a while. But the side effect is if you remote start with the comfort settings set to auto, it will set up the truck HVAC and seats based on this incorrect reading.

So when the truck was remote started in with an outside temperature in the mid 60’s F, the AC was on LOW and the seats were cooling, I assume due to the fact the truck was perceiving an outside temperature in the mid 90’s F..

I haven't had my truck that long to pay attention to this, but this morning I remote started my truck and heater, heated seat/wheel were on. It was 65 outside, I don't consider that cold.

Guess I need to play around with my settings.

This is one of the main reasons ill have mine set to turn on what ever the last setting were.

I'm thinking the truck had the thermometer aimed right at the sun. I have a thermometer stuck to a south facing sliding door and it's easy for it to be reading 20-30° higher than ambient just from being in direct sunlight.

In my case, it was sitting overnight and read the 90+ when I got in to head to work while in the 60’s.

Yep. Just checked today and when I got in, the outside temperature was reading 80 when it was 50s out. Once I started moving it got down to the right temperature.
