My dealer just informed me that my MY22 truck did not and will not be scheduled for this year, but that a $5000 certificate was given to me by Ford should I decide to order a MY23 truck. That helps offset the price difference between the two model years, but is still going to end up costing me a bunch more cash since I placed my order in February and there were several price increases since then for MY22.

They went up by more than 5k? Yikes.

I have it in writing from Dealership management this exact quote:

“If they (Ford) do switch your order to a 2023, I’ve (Dealership Manager) been told it will be price protected as long as you (me) don’t change the order.”

I know that I small dog as compared to Ford and Dealership but I feel confident that statement in-writing will hold up in court if it goes there.

It’s been invaluable in asking pointed question to dealership in written communication that I may someday use. This allowed me not to be taking advantage of when dealing with the Ford Dealership.
