(I put this in off-topis as I wasn't sure where else to put it. Husky isn't a sponsor of this forum, but I wanted to share my experience with them)
So within 1 week of buying my f150, my wife got her '22 Explorer. I already owned Husky liner x-act contour mats from my '17 I moved over and we had some in her last car which worked well because of the kids (granted, they weren't in there long and we can't find a buyer for them to off load them..LOL)
So I knew this would be a purchase I would be making for my wife's new car. I went to Husky Liner's site and purchased a full set (3 rows) of floor mats. Not a cheap venture to be sure (~$340). When they came in I immediately went to install them only to find to my dismay, the 3rd row was the wrong piece. seems like in '22 the explorer removed the center console between the second row and though I swear I selected "second row buckets with no console", the 3rd row only covered the back row and not the space between the second row.
I jumped online and replied to the order email only to find out after a few back and forth emails that the part I thought existed did not, but they were working on it. Should be 6-8 weeks. The rep did say "when they are released, you could always ask for a swap". I was thinking to myself "Ok, yeah, nice way to blow me off I guess". At least I knew they were making it and it should come out so I could buy it.
So ever month or so I would check and nothing. I gave up after 3-4 months, but decided to check again and bam! They now offered the correct piece. I even found it pretty cheap ($77 instead of $109 from summit racing). However, I remembered what the rep said about a swap and thought I purchased the mats in March, I would ask anyways. Never hurts to ask, right?
So again, I find my original email order, reply to the email, explain again the situation. provide the support ticket from my original support request. I even explain that we have been using the ones I got, so I understand if they won't do the swap.
I swear, less than 30 minutes later I got an email: "Sure. We'll swap them out!"..... what?!? gotta be kidding me, right? so I reply "even though the old ones have been used for 6 months? Are you sure?!?!?"
got a response: "Yup. already placed the order, when you get them in we sent you a return label to send us the old ones. Enjoy!"
I can't believe it. There is zero reason for this company to do this. I emailed with very little hope they would do a swap and honestly, I admit some of the original order was me not paying 100% attention to what I was getting.
Anywho. Husky LIners is awesome
They provided service and products that continue to amaze me.
