This week I am going to be retrofitting OEM projectors + full functionality low/high beam harness to my truck. I do not have fog lights. I am wondering if I should consider adding them while I've got everything disassembled. I might even pay a shop to do it all if they give a reasonable quote.
I can get the factory oem led fogs for $200 total. So not too bad. The only issue is that I won't have functionality of the fogs, only the DRL. I don't think I'll ever need fogs anyways, considering I've been using the halogen heads with no fogs without issue I'd imagine moving to the glare-free projectors is more than enough.
My understanding is if you did not have fog lights come stock, you can't add them to the harness and get functionality. Only the DRL's. So at that point I'd be adding fogs just for the DRL aesthetic and I am not sure it's worth it. I'm already in for nearly $2400 so a few hundred more doesn't matter at this point. Thoughts?
