This doesn't answer your question but... I've found that when in adaptive cruise, using eco mode will keep the truck from accelerating so aggressively to get back up to speed, seems to even brake more smoothly too. Also, I turn off speed limit sign adjusting as it seems to be overly aggressive as well.

Be careful, he has made it clear he doesn’t want any help other than giving him the answer he wants.

Why didn't you say that in the first place? I have my doubts about the veracity of your claim. With it being computer driven, I have to believe there's a way. Hopefully someone who knows what he's talking about will "chime" in.
