Hey everyone,
This is my first post here.
I've got a 2021 F150 Lariat FX4. 16k miles.
I'm currently 500 miles from the house and towing my 6500 lb camper.
I made it to my campsite but the last 100 miles was interesting.
Every time I touch the brakes the ABS and Traction control lights come on. On occasion the collision avoidance unavailable message comes on.
It goes away in just a split second but every time it does it it kicks me out of tow mode and I lose trailer brakes.
Once I disconnected the trailer the problem persists.
I have contacted 2 local dealers to see if they can look at it while I am here but neither have even returned my calls. I spoke to someone in service and explained the issue and they said "a tech will get back with you"....sure they will.
Is it ok to haul the camper back to the house?
I don't want to do any damage to the truck.
I can deal with the camper without brakes. I don't like it but I can.
Thanks for any info or advice,
Dave
