[I posted this over on the F150 Forum but didn't get a response so I'm trying here as well to see if anyone knows the answer]

In Forscan I changed all the seat types to "Fixed seat present without Buckle Sensor". This disabled the chime and the seatbelt screen that comes up every time I start the truck.

My question: does this have any other unintended consequences? Does it disable the airbags or any other safety features or does it just make the truck think that there's no buckle sensor?

I made this change in the IPC module.

I’m all for safety, it if this gets rid of “that” and keeps the safety features, let’s go! I’ve disabled my driver seatbelt chime already. Even though I use the seatbelt 99 percent of the time lol.

I read somewhere that with a recent update, that ADAS such as lane centering will not work if your seatbelt isn't on. Not sure if the forscan change will "trick" the ADAS to work or not.
