285 miles in and CEL on

Remote started the truck this evening and when I went out and hit the Start button, I noticed the CEL was.

Got the following in FordPass app. Any thoughts besides having to take it to the dealer? I drove it about 12 miles or so and all seemed fine.

I have forscan so I guess I could go out and see what additional info I could find out.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer to me. Brand new truck I wouldn’t get into the habit of clearing DTCs on a new vehicle. Let us know what they say!!

Mine threw a light this week with 2900 miles. It was an Evap code. The dealer said my capless fuel inlet was not sealing well.

At the very least I'd have the dealer check it out just to have it documented. It could help with any future warranty or recall work that needs to be done.

Had the same thing happened with the light and the message from Ford pass after I started the truck with the remote start as well. The truck had about 2000 miles.

The light went off after a couple a short trips, took it to the dealership and found P0300/ P0301/ P0304 Cylinders misfire. Also found P2C23 Exhaust Heat Exchanger Bypass valve A position sensor performance. They have a SSM advising that Ford is working on developing a calibration software update for PCM and will be out at a later date. They also did a test and found no issue, everything is working good. Now have about 4000 miles without this happening again...

Remote start issue: I had the same issue at 866 miles. Hit remote start, engine chugged like it was not hitting on all cylinders, shut down with the check engine light on and messages STOP SAFELY NOW displayed in red and FULL ACCESSORY POWER DRIVE ACTIVE displayed in amber, along with red battery symbol and red truck symbol displayed. Tried several things and it would not start or even turn over. Truck sitting in my driveway. Called Ford and had a tow coming, let it sit for about 20 minutes and then I was able to start normally. Definitely has to do with remote start. Never had a problem before or after and now have about 5 days and 250 more miles on her since the incident with no recurrence. Ford needs to address the remote start issue. I am hesitant to use it until I hear more about a fix. Definitely will not use remotely out boondocking in case it turns into a hard fault. Will talk to the dealer. Photos of the instrument display and faults are below. At first I thought it was the battery drain issue, but had the zone lighting off and good battery charge. One more thing to be aware of...

Truck was idling and shut off, wouldn’t restart, had to disconnect battery and was able to restart truck, check engine light is now on, but truck runs fine now.

Any idea what U1028 is ? I was at a stop switching drive mode and it started to go into 4x4 then error..... truck went into limp mode. I got the same U1028 code.

Also what do you mean you disconnected the battery and it went back to normal? Just tried the same +- disconnected the damn truck still has power everywhere.

Took it to the dealer today, my U1028 code was from a pinched wire at one of the connect. They repaired the wire, crimped new and all is good now.
