Hi all, new to this forum and platform!
I bought 10 way power seats from salvage yard in July and just got around to installing them this last week. I ordered the passenger power pigtail from barrone, and installing everything went pretty well!
I stripped the covers off the power seats, and to my surprise the power seats had heating elements that were already there! That was another mod I had already bought, heating elements from Katzkin.
I recovered the power frames with my 2024 covers and put everything back together leaving the factory seat heat coils, and the new seats are fantastic!
Now my new problem and current rabbit hole, I have the basic hvac control as it’s a 103a XL, and I want to use the factory controls for powering the heated seats.
There’s another thread discussing how to use the higher trim level hvac control with seat heat buttons already installed. Looks like you have to make a pigtail to power the hvac module and then send the signal to the seats, since none of that wiring is in my XL.
I got the Forscan equipment and added the hvac controls to the screen and added the seat heat icons to the screen, but they obviously don’t do anything yet without the pigtails to the seats not installed yet.
Has anyone else been down this road yet, or am I in uncharted territory?
