hey Dave, no, suspension has nothing to do with the “poke” of your tires. That’s primary the offset of you wheels ( more positive the closer they are to the body, negative, the more they stick out). Additionally, the wider the tire, the more poke (and also closer to the suspension).Hey I am new here with posting on these threads but I have a question about the tires you are using. My 21 F150 is at stock ride height and I’m looking to try to put on some Toyo Cross Country AT3’s (285/75r17) on my stock rims. My only concern really is if the tires will stick out too much on the sides. I understand you have an actual suspension setup but I really like how close your tires are to flush with the fenders on your build and I am worried if my stock height has any effect on the same tire size sticking out farther. I’ll also provide a photo of how my truck currently sits which again is just stock with actually a 2 in drop shackle in the back to help level out the factory ride height in the rear. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.![]()
if you’re running stock wheels, then a 285/75r17 should sit more or less flush as stock tires.
Check tiresize.com for tools to check the change in offset, width, height, revolutions, etc. This is a great way to get exactly what you’re after.
285/75r17 is a GREAT size for these trucks.
