Hey I am new here with posting on these threads but I have a question about the tires you are using. My 21 F150 is at stock ride height and I’m looking to try to put on some Toyo Cross Country AT3’s (285/75r17) on my stock rims. My only concern really is if the tires will stick out too much on the sides. I understand you have an actual suspension setup but I really like how close your tires are to flush with the fenders on your build and I am worried if my stock height has any effect on the same tire size sticking out farther. I’ll also provide a photo of how my truck currently sits which again is just stock with actually a 2 in drop shackle in the back to help level out the factory ride height in the rear. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

hey Dave, no, suspension has nothing to do with the “poke” of your tires. That’s primary the offset of you wheels ( more positive the closer they are to the body, negative, the more they stick out). Additionally, the wider the tire, the more poke (and also closer to the suspension).

if you’re running stock wheels, then a 285/75r17 should sit more or less flush as stock tires.

Check tiresize.com for tools to check the change in offset, width, height, revolutions, etc. This is a great way to get exactly what you’re after.

285/75r17 is a GREAT size for these trucks.

Okay got it thank you for your input! I’ll add an update once I get these tires ordered and put on. Depending on how it looks afterwards I may put a leveling kit but we will have to see.
