Just learned that the 703a package will not be available for 2025 until Job 2.

Anyone know why?

Whats going on with the heads up display? I'm ordering a 2025 and would think twice if there's no heads up display available.

I ordered a MY24 Platinum 702A that comes with a HUD. I ordered it 6 November 2023 and still don't have a build date only a build week. It's been delayed due to the HUD. HUDs were restricted and Ford never said a thing about the HUDs. I had to respond the issue.

The HUD display is awesome, but doesn’t do well with Oakley polarized glasses. It is funny my wife when she wears her Ray-Ban polarized glasses, she can see the HUD fine.

Is that really the only information that HUD shows?? I was having FOMO not being able to add it to my 21 but now that I see it, I’m not missing anything I don’t already have in front of me. Also my glasses of choice are Oakley polarized

It changes information for when you are in tow and off-road modes or you can select which info it shows all the time. When bluecruise is on the screen changes and the blinkers show in there and other info. We like it.

that strongly suggests that, at the least, one of the sunglasses is polarized incorrectly! It could also be that both the other pair and the HUD are polarized wrong.

The idiotic JVC unit I put in the '98 F-150 is polarized 45 degrees from normal, so I can't see it through regular lenses! (well, maybe if it was bright enough.)

that can be the case with any lcd screen.

But this jvc unit isn't "difficult", but impossible.

lcd screens are inherently polarized. You can actually invert them (black on white to white on black, for example) by rotating the polarizing film (back in 1980 or so in high school, se messed with other students by popping their calculator case open and doing this ).

take any two polarized lenses, place one over the other, and as you rotate one 90 degrees from the other, it dims until it blocks all light.

LCD displays and polarized lenses are polarized "in sync" with one another, so you can see, but even tilting your head slightly is enough to start dimming.

I've driven plenty of vehicles with lcd screens wearing polarized lenses.

But this idiotic JVC unit is polarized wrong, at about 45 degrees rather than horizontal. Tilt your head 45 degrees, and you can read it! (but you can't, like, see traffic well).

And to be clear, this is an aftermarket unit in my f-150, not factory equipment.
