I have recently purchased a 2024 5.0 Supercrew and had the dealer install the 3.0L whipple suppercbarger. I’ve had the vehicle for 7 days with about 200 miles on it. I noticed the far left driver’s side vent was not blowing as much AC as the other vents but it didn’t seem like an issue. Today, the AC stopped working entirely. I tried Max AC, circulated AC, low fan, high fan, nothing works. Since is Saturday at 4pm the dealer is closed until Monday. Just curious if anyone has had AC issues with such a new truck and with the whipple.

No fan at all/no air circulation or is air still flowing through the vents but not cold air?

If your blower stopped working altogether I’d suspect an electrical connection not seated. If air is still being circulated but it’s not cooled/dehumidified, I’d suspect a leak in a pressure line that contains the refrigerant.

Either way, it could either be the result of a missed detail or mistake during the blower install or a defect/mistake during the build process. Your dealer should be able to diagnose and fix you up.

The air does come out of the side vents less than the center in my truck, they are definitely not equal, I believe that’s common.

No air blows at all, even if I change it to heat. I’ll check the electrical connections for the blower to see if that’s the issue. Thanks

Good morning, if you send us a message with your VIN and mileage, I would be happy to take a further look on my end into your AC concerns.

Speaking from 'issues' of a 2021, so may not be the same...but, Ford's software basically sux. Your post was Saturday, so I would imagine by now the truck has been off for more than 30 min, and restarted. And the issue persists?

I have had many of issues, one including HVAC not working, that seemed to only be due to initialization/startup of the system. As all my issues have been corrected after a shutdown and restart...Basically if all the 1's and 0's don't fall in line correctly something isn't going to work, and it happens every other month or so with my 2021...

Last one was when I stopped for gas, upon restarting I got a 'check headlamp system' fault or something, which of course went away as soon as I parked shutdown (went inside to do my shopping) and upon restart, the issue was gone.

This may be the issue. I started it up and it worked fine. A quick drive and it back to not working again. This is very frustrating with a truck I’ve only had for a week. I really don’t want the dealership to have it for days on in for them to try to replicate the issue.

It sounds like a loose electrical connection, maybe a weatherpack connection not seated. Check the obvious that you can see easily under the hood, and make sure all your fuses are fully seated. If nothing looks out of the ordinary make an appointment with the dealer that installed the supercharger & ask that the tech that installed it do the troubleshooting. It should be easy for a tech with that level of expertise to retrace their steps and locate the problem quickly.

Oh, it stopped working while driving...that is probably a bigger issue...My issues have only ever been at startup, and once I've restarted they haven't returned.

Before dealing with the shop, I would just check the electrical connections under the hood, verify they are all seated, latched. Maybe also check your fuse box, give them all a good push to ensure they are seated tightly.

I couldn’t see anything that would cause this so I took it to the dealer. They said it would take 24hrs before they could diagnose the exact issue, but believe it’s a bad fan motor. In the meantime they provided me with a loaner Supercrew with a whipple.

Loaner with a Whipple.. Priceless!
The customer service at this dealership was very good, 1 slight issue but other than that, they were great and can’t complain when they give me a supercharged loaner while mine gets fixed.

They said it was a bad blower motor and they had 1 in stock. It's not a common issue but they have seen a few and had it taken care of quickly.
