Some of you may have read my pose about the Powertrain Malfunction " The powertrain control system has detected a fault in the High Voltage System". After leaving it with the dealer they were not able to duplicate the fault. So I picked the truck up and drove from Maryland to Alabama with no problems. Decided to go through an automated carwash (the one the sprays the undercarriage) and boom just like that the fault is back, let the truck sit, and an hour later the fault is gone. Guessing something is getting wet then drying out making it difficult for them to duplicate the fault.
Now on to the next problem, just returned from Alabama, and have gotten a loud whining noise while moving forward, and a loud clicking/thumping in reverse. Sure seems like it is coming from the rear end. So now the truck is in the dealer's lot again for the second time just over 3,000 miles.
I have bought many cars over the years and never have I had one in the shop this quickly, kind of making me not trust the truck to go on any trips too far away from the dealer. Hopefully, I'll get some answers tomorrow.
