2021 vs. 2022 Tailgate Harness

I have a 2021 lariat that i want to switch the tailgate to one with a step. The replacement is from a 2022 with camera and release but my harness has a 3 wire split from the main harness and the replacement has 2. When i unhook my 3rd wire i lose the backup camera. What changed in the harness they both have cameras. (i realize i can probably change the harness out but intend on selling my old one and need to know what won't work on mine if changing the harness is my only choice)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You probably need to repin the camera on the new harness. I had to do that on my XL as I upgraded to LED tails. In my case it was the camera and the lock.
