'23 F-150 Lariet 3.5 EB, had a weird experience today when I started the truck. The center info screen was completely black and not working. After driving about 45 min, it came back on by itself.

I never turn the head power off, and usually turn the truck off with either Audio or Nav screens showing. I had a successful OTA earlier this week with no obvious issues or concerns, however previous OTA's seem to always change the driver console settings, and center infotainment screens, but this latest issue is just plain weird.

The screen on my truck stayed black when I reversed out of the driveway and for a few hundred feet before the Ford emblem started up. It’s happened a few times over the last two years.

I think mine has done that two times since I bought it. Think the last time I did a reset and it forced it to reboot and come back up

This normally happens when my truck downloads a big update. It doesn't work for 2-15 minutes. Usually in the 2-3ish range.

I now notice when an update is coming and just expect oddities the next time I start it.

I've had that happen with my brand new '24 KR, when just sitting and while driving. I learned how to reboot the sync system, haven't had a need to try it yet.

To Reboot, Press and hold both the Power button (center of the volume knob) and the Seek Right button for 10 seconds.

Also, see this => 2022 F150 BLANK SCREEN

and => How to Reset SYNC / Fix Black or Frozen Screen F150 & Super Duty

This has been going on for several years now, and is still a bug in the new '24s, and Ford still hasn't been able to fix the problem. They are too busy spending money and resources on EV's, that the majority of people don't want, will never buy, and are losing money by the truckload. Someone at Ford failed Business 101 class - never ignore your bread and butter products, the ones that make a majority of your profits, such as the F150. Not a new problem, See - Sync 4 black screen

I also got this on Mai 1st (in Canada). This happened after an OTA (24-PU0227-VI-RBS). After rebooting Sync4, all of the pre-programmed radio stations were lost.

Hi there, Paul! Go ahead and send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer, and I’ll look into your screen concern. Thanks!

Yeh the update wiped my station pre-sets out as well. Kinda. Pain in the ass
