We’ll have a safe trip. Went over 80 yesterday and it wasn’t that bad but the storms just keep coming. You will be going right by me in Elk Grove. Just south of Sacramento. Been to all of those landmarks and they are truly beautiful. Make sure you stop in Jackson hole. Very cool.

I love that area. Also from Mt Rushmore you should also try and hit Devils Tower in Wyoming.
and if your going to hit the Tetons, you should hit Cody Wyoming.
Just my advise. Not sure what you will be missing during the winter. but I really enjoyed seeing that stuff.
Oh, there is also Mes Verde, in Colorado, but not sure you can do that and Tetons. but to be honest you will be extreamly lucky if you see them this time of the year. At least I think. Been there three times. seen them once.
Heck yea Code rocks. There is also that ghost town in Cody with the bar the hole in the wall gang frequented. as well as Curly, Custer's Indian scouts, cabin. Also the cemetery, at the same Ghost town, with the small story of Calamity and a little love debackel.
