Hey yall... I've just had the idea of upgrading my 2021 tremor with a 401a package to a new 2025 402a package. Possibly opting for the 5.0 instead of my 3.5EB. Am I just crazy, or is it worth the $$ to upgrade?

So here's what I understand so far regarding all of this. (disclaimer, I'm not a mechanic, but I do know how to turn a wrench or two. If there are mechanics that want to correct me, please feel free!) On a cold start, I understand the waste gates will fully open so the exhaust gases can warm...

Before the cold start sequence ends, it'll rattle when I hit the gas a bit. But if I push it past about 2500 RPM, it'll stop until it gets back to low RPM. Once it's warmed up, after about a minute and a half, I don't hear it until it's cooled off again.

I wish I had good news for you. I took it to two separate dealers with the rattle. Both of them told me the rattle was the wastegate and that it was normal. I still have my doubts about it, but at this point, unless I want to take it to an independent shop to get an unbiased 3rd opinion...

That does sound similar! Does the tapping go away when the cold start sequence ends?

You're the 5th tremor owner I've heard about having the same rattle. According to Ford, it's apparently normal. I'm still trying to find time to get a 2nd opinion at another dealer nearby, but I have a feeling they'll say the same thing. ??‍♂️

Update. After the one dealer insists it's normal, and after them telling me that the wastegate is closed during cold starts, I did a bit of research. From what I understand, the wastegate is actually fully open during cold starts. So why would they tell me it's closed? Am I...
