1666lbs at the door sticker.
402A, no sunroof, no power tailgate, no multi-kilowatt power inverter. I do have the weight-penalty of the Torsen front LSD, the 18-speaker B&O :p, tow pkg.
I guess that's just the paranoid side of me since the 90s when I first started driving: I hated having to watch for cross-traffic when backing out of a busy parking lot. Made me nervous as all get out. Then I decided, well, if I can back into a spot, all I have to watch out for are fixed...
Good find. I may have to do the same. It's only ever when backing into a parking space this will happen for me.
Again, this is my first truck ever, and I figured that rubbing on flat ground, unladen, in a totally factory condition that one wouldn't have to deal with these sorts of things!
Yes, so my 402A still has the dynamic bending lights.
Wiring for the g/box light: no, I did not see them. What I ended up doing is buying rechargeable motion lights that I mounted to the underside of the transverse panel vent ducting instead. It was cheap, easy to use, and as rare as I use the...
Totally can't complain. If I were in my 20s still, I'd have just gone under the truck myself with a wire wheel/cup on my drill + a couple of rattle cans, but then again, I couldn't have afforded this truck in my 20s. Hell, it's expensive enough as it is today as a grown-*** man!
Yeap. 22 days. I get the feeling there was a backup at the body shop they sublet to. Labor shortages are a real thing right now.
The binding you mentioned was the same as I had, only on full left lock, reversing.
However, the only modes I've really driven in are Eco (probably 80%, due to...
And yes, you're right. Same driving, getting +2MPG over what I had in that first tank.
Just hit 1000mi this morning. Can I finally WOT this thing now?!
Alright... sorry for the delayed update.
Quick summary:
22 days at the dealership/body shop
Roof repainted
Diff looks like they just hit with Rustoleum (fine by me)
Glovebox door replaced
Tire rubbing: dealer couldn't duplicate, although after having it been there at the dealership, neither...
Paint bubbles, unfortunately.
There were two spots perhaps 5" apart like this. The dealer's subbed body shop tried to do spot repair, but either the body shop foreman or the dealership had them repaint the entire roof to blend properly.
Ordered mine 9/21/21, picked up around 1/11/22. 402A.
Ended up going back to the dealer promptly to get the roof repainted and diff painted due to the rust.
Nah. I sent the dealership my photos the afternoon of the same day after taking it home. We both realize it's not a dealership thing, nor my thing, but definitely a Ford factory thing. I'll be dropping my truck off at the dealer later this week, and let's see how long they hold onto the vehicle.
More of the same here.
Build 2nd week of Dec
Arrived SoCal railhead 12/31
Vehicle delivered on 1/11
Pictures below in my driveway on 1/12, with perhaps 25mi on the odometer.
High side of 13mpg right now, just under 700mi on the clock.
100% city, with most of the time spent in Eco and the Eco Coach (or whatever it's called) usually around the 95% mark. Tires are 40psi hot too! Sigh.
100% agree. Normally I hate black paint. Keeping it clean, keeping swirls off... not cool. But with Leadfoot being gone (plus Leadfoot didn't get a vote from the Missus)... Agate Black it was. As long as I get my factory paint defects fixed, then I will have the vehicle ceramic-coated. Hopefully...
Greetings all! Long time lurker, first time writer.
I've had mine for a month now. Ordered it in late September, built in 2nd week of December, delivered to my SoCal railhead by New Year's Eve, got it about 10 days later. Agate Black Metallic. It's got about 670mi on the odo right now and some...
Similar here. Ordered 9/22 for a 21MY Tremor, got moved to a 22MY in mid-Oct, got scheduled 10/28 for a build week 11/29.
With the holidays coming up, and consumer goods retailers warning about shipping delays, I can't help but imagine a slowdown the actual factory-to-dealer freight, especially...
