  1. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

I'm wondering if this might also fix my 'auto stop' failures (where the truck turns 'off' while at a traffic light)? It hasn't worked in about 6mo (always says 'vehicle is on due to vehicle charging'), so my MPG is horrible. We have driven the truck for hundreds of miles at a time, and it...
  2. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

Literally a blue screen. I have a Forscan device - can you elaborate what 'upping the SOC' is? Much appreciated -
  3. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

Finally an update! It's been a very long haul, but... - Dealer #1 (where I purchased the truck) brought in the local Ford rep to inspect my truck. He indicated that the driveshaft did *not* need to be replaced, despite the rather deep scoring, because the tolerance level of the recall had...
  4. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

UPDATE: Following the advice from this thread, I escalated this back to Dealer #1's general manager (GM). He asked me to document everything in an email, attach the photos of the driveshaft, and attach the paperwork from Dealer #2 showing that the driveshaft had 'passed' inspection...
  5. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

UPDATE: I spent the last hour on the phone with Ford Customer Relations. I had it escalated as far as I could, and here is the final result (call was recorded): 'Ford is unable to override the closure of the recall, and must rely upon the technician's notes. If you are not satisfied with the...
  6. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

There is definitely a 'dip' in the metal, not very deep yet but there is also some 'pitting'. Given how thin this aluminum is, I am definitely not comfortable. From what I am reading on the recall sheets, the driveshaft needs to be replaced if scoring is present (I believe this would qualify?).
  7. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

I can tell you first-hand that they completely brushed me off, and instructed me to go back to my original dealer (Dealer #1), to start the warranty process. The kick in the gut, was when they said that Dealer #1 couldn't have the driveshaft they had in-stock (they were unwilling to transfer...
  8. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

Can anyone provide feedback on the photo; is this driveshaft an issue (given the wear mark, I think it is)...
  9. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

Correct - not only did Dealer #2 not replace my driveshaft, but they closed the recall indicating the driveshaft was fine and didn't need to be replaced. Reason: they wouldn't get paid by Ford for their driveshaft inspection 'time' (because Dealer #1 had already inspected and failed the...
  10. Driveshaft Issue (with photo) -- HELP

Hi Everyone, I picked-up my 2021 F150 (2.7L) in June of 2021. In August of 2021, I started having trouble with the driveshaft (shaking at highway speeds, rough idling, loud cracking noise whenever the truck turned into a raised driveway, etc.). Dealer #1 did the typical Ford dance (couldn't...
  11. Towing performance issues (2021 Lariat 2.7)

Thanks for sharing the frontal area considerations chart - I had never seen that before. When I ordered the F150, the dealer assured me that it would tow my trailer (and showed the 7700lbs chart only)... Now I wish I had looked further into it. Is there a safety issue with towing this...
  12. Towing performance issues (2021 Lariat 2.7)

We tow it completely dry (fresh / grey / black tanks empty), but with about 500-750lbs of cargo and 350lbs of passenger weight. We do use a weight distribution hitch as well (Blue Ox Sway Pro). We haven't checked using a truck scale, but I don't think we are close to the 7700lbs (I could be...

  14. Towing performance issues (2021 Lariat 2.7)

Hoping for some guidance here. We are having two (2) major issues while towing our trailer... Background: we have a '21 Lariat 2.7, and are towing a 6200lbs trailer with about 500lbs of our stuff inside (tongue weight is 705lbs). PERFORMANCE: The performance while towing is horrible (can't...
