I had rough idle when I purchased the truck new. New engine burned excessive oil first eight months, multiple trips, loaner vehicles, time spent at dealers, finally getting Ford Motor Company to respond ultimately revealed long block needed replacement. New engine runs fine, no excessive engine...
I have a 2021 with 28k miles on it and already replaced engine in less than one year new. I have about 6k on new engine and since new, prior to engine replacement have experienced rough idle. Good luck and please let me know if your 2022 is better.
Still playing the waiting game unfortunately. Due for an oil change, no excessive burning of oil or pinging with new engine so far, two open recalls 1-program update on the towing system, and 2- wiper motor. Still idling rough at stops though. MPG slightly lower at 20.5 average whereas I was...
After almost another month at the dealer, I received the truck back on March 23rd, 2022. Dealer replaced two spark plugs and two boots calling it good.
Truck still idles rough in warmer weather. No check engine light as of today. Waiting for a date to attend a lemon law hearing with Fla's...
Thank you and I agree. This is by no means isolated to Ford products. Like I have said, love the truck when it wasn’t starving for oil. Now i am experiencing PCM ISSUES. I patiently await the outcome. Truck is still at dealership, and I am starting to look like an Abraham driving in a Lincoln.
Yes engine swap completed and given back to me February 3rd. Almost impossible to do a complete inspection when the nose clip is put back.
I can't say FORD TRUCKS SUCK overall however, my situation with this particular Ford truck does.
Received the truck back with new engine, and intake on February 3rd. Three day's shy of one month driving a loaner vehicle.
On February 4th, Engine light on indicating malfunctions with Powertrain, several other ABS codes. etc.... February 5th (Saturday), all appeared to reset for I did not see...

Kevin,
First and foremost thank you for your service brother.
My only objective at this point is that Ford makes it right at the end.
I hope your outcome is a positive one, and they make you whole again.
Still waiting on specifics. Ford Engineer assigned to inspect my rig informed the service advisor that it needed an engine replacement.
So late in my stress full day at work, scrambling to find a loaner since there is a shortage of just about everything in this new world, hoping to have loaner...
I have same-very similar issue with the idle on my beautiful 2021 Lead foot in color - FX4 - F150-302A high package-3.5L EB
I say beautiful despite my issues with my RIG because I still love this truck. I and family members have had F150's in past years with very little to no issues until now...
Well folks,
As of 01-06-2022 and Ford Motor Co. finally coordinating an inspection/repair of my truck with the Dealer and me, revealed it needs an engine replacement :-(.
Guess I'll be in a loaner for a while now taking into the account the "state of the country" supply and staffing...
