Hey Everyone,
Well, after more than a year, one of my children has finally sullied the pristine interior of my truck. We were at summer camp about 3 weeks ago and my daughter left a glow stick in the cubby of the rear door. It had ruptured and exploded after being exposed to the extreme heat...
So it would seem that it's an issue on *some* of the 2021 model year....great. I guess hope and pray they tack it on to an OTA update at some point? It's a pretty glaring issue, can't believe the complaints aren't more in number, or does a normal Sync user not use more than one page of presets?
I have three pages of FM mixed with Sirius XM presets (the FM are only on page one though). For some reason, when I use the steering wheel to move right across the presets, it does not traverse the pages correctly. Reaching the end of page 1 dumps me right to the beginning of that page....and...
Word of advice, if you're losing oil, get it on paper as soon as you can. Don't wait. I waited 2600 miles after nursing it with top-offs and I first noticed at 700 miles. It's not an unreasonable expectation to want a properly running 40-50 thousand dollar truck.
Mine was in for head replacement (and I had an extremely, extremely poor experience with Ford Customer Care) at 3600 miles, burned 2 quarts in 1100 miles. Was in for 37 days, and they made no effort to make it less of an inconvenience for me. I have only had it back for 6 days, will be staying...
I have a 2021 F-150 with the 5.0 that I purchased in May 2021 with 91 miles on the odometer. At 700 miles I noticed I was down a quart. I happened to check it when I got an "Oil Level Low-Add" message on the dash, but topped it off. Kind of odd, but I had read that these engines have break in...
I'm having consumption issues as well. 2021 F150 with the 5.0, it was a quart down at 700 miles on the odo, 1400, and it's at 2500 now again low. I thought it was a fluke with the oil level indicator at first but I've fed it 2.5 quarts now. Not getting noticeable blue smoke but I have noticed...
