On my ‘22 XLT the rear foot wells have no wires going to them from the factory harness. On my passenger side rear there was a plug for the footwell light. My drivers side rear had nothing to plug into. But even though my passenger rear footwell had a connector there were no wires going to the...
Most likely some marketing executive desperately wanting to take credit for doing nothing. Sees the trend on other brands and decides there’s no reason to come up with an innovative marketing strategy of his own. And why not? It’s a win-win. If sales go up he takes full credit. If sales...
I went with JL3Z1504105ZC & JL3Z1504104SL.
A couple of different sites said these would fit a 2022 XLT. And I guess technically they do. But they don’t swing up snug to the headliner.
As for wiring I got the pigtail connector that the visor plugs into and made my own harness. I taped into...
I installed the illuminated visor in my XLT and have the same issue. I would really like to see them fit snug to the headliner like my originals. I'll be watching to see if someone figures it out.
TheDudeee is spot on. I just did this myself on my 2022 XLT. I also confirmed the same console trim panel number from tilefordude. I went ahead and got the new mat. Unfortunately for me I had already ordered a lid off ebay and it wasn't exactly black. It had some copper and gold colors...
I agree. It certainly seems that way. And don’t get me started on how much Ford wants for a connector. Sometimes more than $200 for a molded piece of plastic. Makes me wonder how profitable a black market for automotive connectors would be.
I had the same issue. But, when I plugged my iPhone into the USB port - I was good to go. I then had data and CarPlay.
If I paid to enable my F150 onboard modem would I get data and wireless CarPlay at the same time?
Anyone ever see an extension or handle replacement for the dipstick?
I’m going to try some reflective tape around the spout. That seems like a good idea.
The video is correct for the smaller center console screen. However, if you have the larger one you need to do an additional step. Pop off the dash cover with the speaker and access two silver colored 7mm bolts behind the display. A quarter inch drive with extension works well. And something...
I had the mildew smell. I put in a HEPA filter but it was still there.
I used Frigi-fresh
https://www.amazon.com/BG-Frigi-Fresh-5-5-oz-156g/dp/B0777TWFG5
Smell was drastically reduced. Applied a second time and it was gone.
I took the $72.34 (Cost plus shipping) gamble and ordered the MU5Z-19A464-M, and replaced the bed outlet.
Works!
Thanks to all of you that responded. Especially Tired Lizard with technical information and links.
Lesson I learned buying a used truck with inverter - make the salesperson plug...
Mine didn't work even at night, or with headlights on. However, replacing the bed outlet made my 400 Watt system work. Please note that mine is not Pro Power.
Valuable information. I truly appreciate the help.
The only DTC I had was U0285. Can’t say this directly related to the inverter. I charged the battery and did a manual reset of the battery charging system.
As far as troubleshooting the inverter - it seems to work, albeit briefly. Wish...
Okay, thanks for mentioning that the truck needs to be running and the driver's door closed.
Checked Fuses:
Battery Junction Box (BCMC):
F36 – Positive 12.48 Volts
Body Control Module (BCM):
F35 – Good. Tested 0 ohms with meter
Inside cab test with engine running (doors closed)...
I've recently acquired a 2022 F150 XLT 3.5L EcoBoost with 302a package. I've been wiring an ambient lighting upgrade and decided to plug in a small fan - I got nothing. Realized there was no LED light on on the outlet. Owners manual showed how to turn on Pro Power. And I realized I don't...
