I've found that sometimes works. The disconnect seems to be smooth, but I often get the error that CarPlay is disabled on the phone (which it is not), or it just spins and never connects. This is across all vehicles so it has to be a software glitch on the Sync side. I don't have any issues...
I think the issue is this problem happens randomly and sometimes it's when traveling along an interstate or something like that.
Not to mention that it's a very very frustrating bug in a very expensive truck. There is simply no way the developers are not aware of this issue, but I suspect...
Has anyone considered reporting this issue to the NTSB? I have 5 F series trucks, all with this issue, and the dealership cannot resolve it. One even swapped the APIM to no avail. It's clearly a software issue that is not being rectified.
I would think this would be considered a safety...
