This is likely what the dealership is doing with Ford as we speak on my old truck. It's a great truck, and it deserves to see the road again but now it's their problem. The difference in transmission, electric to gas transitions in my new 2024 King Ranch are immediately noticeable. Honestly...
Update: Literally just brought the truck back to the dealer this moring and purchased a gorgeous 2024 King Ranch PB with 6500 miles in NY. They were never able to fix the issue but they will eventually, only now it's Ford's problem to deal with. I have a unique situation, the previous owner of...
Wow, that does not sound promising for next steps at my dealership. Sounds like even if they do the same, it will affect nothing. @ financegirl23 - they had their transmission replaced and it seemed to have fixed the issue.
Working with arbitration for Ford buyback at this point. Valve body replacement did nothing to fix the issue. I found out after asking the dealer for paperwork on service records that 3 months BEFORE I purchased the vehicle that previous owner had the vehicle in for service for the exact same...
I think they will eventually find a commonality with builds for a number of Powerboost owners that will require a fix. From what I've seen, the 2021-2023 are most affected, I have not really seen 2024/25 but I'd love to know myself because I benefit from the Hybrid with short drive to work and...
Even if that's true, why buy a hybrid if you can't put it in Eco or any other mode if they don't work? I bought a hybrid to save on gas, it hardly happens in Sport mode too, then you burn through gas like hot cakes.
I got my truck back today, they replaced the valve body and less than two hours later the truck lost complete acceleration as usual taking a right hand turn, meaning the repair did NOTHING. This is my first truck, first Ford...will now be my last after dealing with the loss of acceleration...
I bought a used 2022 Powerboost F150 about six months ago. This is my first truck, first Ford...will now be my last after dealing with the loss of acceleration constantly and in and out of a large Ford dealership for days/weeks at a time with no resolution. I found out today that the truck's...
Update on my end, they're going to replace the valve body on my truck after sending this report to the Ford technicians. HOWEVER, this is not covered by Ford, the dealership is eating the cost but not going to tear apart the transmission without Ford's green light. They can just drop the pan...
Missing check ball??? I wonder if there's a number of Powerboost's that have this defect and is showing itself at random times. I brought the truck into the dealer today to download the data from the recorder that I took from 8 instances of the issue happening. I want to give the Ford Service...
I picked up my truck from the dealer who has been working with Ford Engineering. They decided to send me home with the truck after a week of diagnostic with a recorder installed that has 8 recordings I can save to record when the event happens. Given it's intermittent, this is a good idea and...
Agreed, I will give this to my dealer if they have trouble replicating the issue again as they diagnose and fix but they were able to do it already so I think they figured that part out. Either way, I'm migthy anxious for a fix, likely new transmission.
My Truck is still at the dealer, they were able to escala
Happy New Year! Just curious how your truck is running with the new transmission? Mine is currently at the dealer (Imperial Ford in Mendon, MA) working with FSE to get to the bottom of the issue. I gave them your dealers info becaues...
Trucks been in the shop for a couple weeks, now working with Ford Engineers to move through the process that will likely lead to a new transmission given it's the only thing I've heard of that fixes this issue. We'll see, hoping to get the truck back in a week or so, can't stand the Bronco...
My 2022 PB is at the dealer as we speak. The Transmission specialist was able to recreate the issue before but no fix has worked. I REALLY, REALLY don't want to wait 8 months to get a fix, I'm ready to file lemon law given the issue happened not even a month into purchase.
I'm meeting with the Transmission Specialist, do you have a TSB or SSM that I can forward to the technician to reference to help expedite the repair. I'm 99.999% confident it's the same issue so trying to avoid all the back and forth and just get the new transmission. Thanks!
