Mine would do the exact same thing with light acceleration or grade increase. You could 90% of the time make it the hum come back. Only time I couldn’t make it do it was in manual mode in 7th (in the 50-60mph) range. I also had a handful of times it’d happen between 38-45mph. It was more...
Yeah they had to do that first then got extended warranty involved after. They drove it another 30 miles and no change. It also said the transmission oil was burnt in the findings and stated some stuff about the cdf drum which is the cause of the hard shifting in this one. So as far as the oil...
That’s exactly how mine started. Just a hum/vibration in the pedal from 50-70 at 68k miles. Would feel like it’d slow down see rpm drop slightly. I am on the highway a lot I average around 36k miles a year on my trucks. Around 76k miles the hard shifting started. Drove it like that since I’m...
An update to this noise on my truck.
Brought in to the dealer for the hard shifting mentioned the hum. Dealer said it was definitely the transmission. Warranty put a brand new transmission in at 89,200 miles. No more intermittent hum and shifts smoother then when I bought it.
It’s definitely not normal mine has also started doing it in lower gears this week 6-7th. Along with hard shifts from 4th to 7th gear. I’ve bought a new F150 5.0 or EB every 3-4 years since 2012. Never had one do this until the powerboost. Maybe a GMC or ram next. ??♂️
Having the same exact issue with my 2021 PB at 70k miles on the truck. Starts around 40+ mph in 8th-10th gear. At 75 mph it happens about every 3-4 seconds. Sometimes you hear it sometimes you feel it in the pedal. Almost feels like it slightly slows the truck sometimes.
