  1. F150 V6 Hybrid humming noise on acelerattion and deceleration

Ugh, I’m going to have to take mine in this week. It’s definitely not a heat shield and not part of the standard electric motor hums & noises. I actually checked behind me for a 2 stroke motorcycle following close. Mine is very loud up to 55mph. You can hear it clearly over the radio at normal...
  2. F150 V6 Hybrid humming noise on acelerattion and deceleration

Did you ever figure this out? I towed my rzr to the mountains this weekend & noticed a similar noise on the way home after dropping off the trailer. The pitch of the sound increases as speed increases but it is in no way connected to the engine. As rpm changes or if my powerboost goes to...
  3. Love the torque but also find myself trying to get to All electric as often as possible.

Haha my wife & I were driving around yesterday & I told her these trucks should come with an LED marquee in the window displaying your current MPG so people will understand why a truck with 570lbft is cruising at 45 & accelerating like a rascal wheelchair. Once these start selling in more...
  4. Tire pressure with large tires

That's for sure. I'm really impressed with the ride of this new F150 & just want to enjoy it for a while haha. Whereabouts in VA are you? I lived in Arlington for 6 years & miss going to VT games!
  5. Tire pressure with large tires

If you look at the picture in my profile of my truck those are 275/60/20 Defenders. They look pretty good for stock ride height and ride like a baby buggy. I just took a 500 mile road trip up & over mountains for part of it & averaged 21.9mpg overall too. Since it wasn't broken in yet I had to...
  6. Tire pressure with large tires

I assume those are E range 10 ply in that size. I've had the same tires on my 2010 and 2015, and most recently the General Grabbers in that size, all 10 ply E load range because of the size. They all rode much stiffer than the smaller D load range tires regardless of the air pressure. Adding air...
  7. Extended warranty is fixed price or negotiable?

Yeah, if that's been your history it seems like the smart way to go this time. I keep saying I'll keep my trucks forever & they keep coming out with innovations that "force" me into them haha. I'm pretty proud I kept my 2015 until now, but there wasn't any reason to trade in until the '21 came out.
  8. Extended warranty is fixed price or negotiable?

I believe the pricing tables are based somewhat on how many months from new your truck is. I just checked & the warranty is a couple hundred $ more if you pick 36-41 months vs 12 months. Their prices could also go up in the next three years as well. Just things to consider.
  9. This Powerboost could end up costing me a LOT of money...

Haha I got that same envious look when she sat in the KR for the first time this weekend. I put in a $100 reservation for a new Bronco Badlands in an attempt to get her to trade her 2013 Explorer in for one but she wasn't biting since hers is paid off & she loves it. Maybe this new truck envy...
  10. Picked up KR PB today. First Impressions

Could shave in it after washing & spray waxing. Super slick now. Just in time for the pollen to turn it yellow haha. As of now, 90 Miles of driving with 10.9 electric only. Can’t wait to break it in enough to be able to really feel the power of this motor with the 3.73s!
  11. Picked up KR PB today. First Impressions

Thanks for the response Bob! Really appreciate your insight on driving technique for a hybrid. It’s the first one I’ve ever been around & definitely is different to drive. I drive every type of road & terrain on single trips a ton. Freeway to windy canyons to mountain grades to logging roads, so...
  12. Picked up KR PB today. First Impressions

Thanks! Say hi if you see me around. After Covid I’ll be working in West Sac a lot I think. Yeah I like the painted bumpers on these better than chrome and again I had to have these wheels. Definitely haven’t seen anything like it around here yet!
  13. Picked up KR PB today. First Impressions

Thanks Mandman! Yeah the Hankooks aren’t much better. Hope your Platy shows up soon!
  14. Picked up KR PB today. First Impressions

Thanks Tex! I’m seriously loving it. Gonna take a while just to figure out all the screen functions. Love the audio text messages & voice reply, wireless charging pad, etc etc. Can’t wait to use the 7.2 generator. Ok, I’ll go for it & wash er up good soon.
  15. Picked up KR PB today. First Impressions

Finally brought my SQ PB King Ranch home today. Some info & first impressions: - All the features from the power tailgate to B&O Unleashed to the giant synch 4 screen are seriously amazing - I told my cousin who has a 2016 XLT this thing makes my Platinum seem like a dinosaur - Truck had 27...
  16. Consolidated completed lift /level, everything you wanted to know for shopping.

Damn, I know when I pick mine up I'm going to want to level & change tires but I'm definitely concerned about tanking my mileage. I think I saw a thread on here about that, but wondered what the consensus is for the powerboost. My 2015 EB Platinum FX4 has a 2.5" level and 34" Grabbers. It looks...
  17. 2021 LARIAT Sport delivered with wrong spec

Do you have an email back & forth with the dealership of a spec'd out build sheet you approved prior to order? Not sure what the legal implications are, but I'd imagine it'd at least help with the dealership. I ordered mine through a similar process, basically over email & phone. I sent the...
  18. King Ranch just arrived at the dealership

Thanks for the input Matt. Good points. I have no experience with Carvana, but I'll definitely look into getting a quote from them now. Most dealerships in the past have just slammed their foot down with KBB, which has been reasonable on value. Can't hurt to have another quote in hand though...
  19. We are here

Believe it or not I'm surrounded by big pines & huge oak trees here in northern CA. Chomping to pick up my KR that arrived at the dealership yesterday.
  20. Trailer tow mirrors with BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) vs Standard Mirrors

I currently have the telescoping trailer tow mirrors on my 2015 & love them. I hardly ever needed to extend them since they have such great visibility anyhow. On my 2021 & couldn't bring myself to pay $1,200 to add them since they make you add the $1015 360 camera package to get them. I'm sure...
