Congrats BlackKnight21 - great looking truck!!!!!!!
I had a very long wait for mine, but yours was even 2- 1/2 weeks longer......
Got mine last monday - hope you are as happy with yours as I am! :)
CTYankee - re: your earlier question, I got my truck today and checked the console recess for folding gearshift, and yes, there is a trim cover there. Assume this can be corrected easily by your dealer.
ps - good job with the tailgate letters
You will make a little more power with premium, but I have run 80k trouble free miles in my '16 2.7 on 87 octane. Never had any driveability or power issues and always get a weekly average of 20 to 23 mpg, mixed driving. I will be running 87 in my new 21 2.7 as well.
I do run top tier fuel...
I don't think it is just Ford - all manufacturers are obsessed with electric - and being pushed to a degree by political agendas. I can see EV's for urban commuters, especially in warmer climates, and perhaps even limited range fleet applications like municipal Public Works departments that...
Two months and it hasn't arrived at your dealer??!! A trucking transportation issue? Hopefully you'll get it soon.
Dealer should be able to check/determine its location.
Awesome - good for you!!!
Gives me hope - I have the same blend date and my sequence number is 5964.
Edit: OMG !!!!!!
I just checked the Ford Tracker and it shows my truck has finally been built today - 29 weeks after the order was submitted!
Says "shipped" and looks like it is at or...
Well st least yours got built and shipped. I think your production date in August was a couple days before mine IIRC. I can't find anything to tell me if/when it might now get built.
Anyone know if KCAP is up to running full shifts this week? I'd also be interested to know what sequence number they are at now. My 3/11 order truck was finally scheduled to be built on 8/25 @ sequence # 5924 but plant shut down 8/23. Aparently it did not get built last week after the...
I really appreciate the OP's great information and everyone's experiences in this thread!
Sure seems like widely varied times from ordering date to production to delivery and apparently selected options can have a big impact........
I ordered 3/11 and production was originally scheduled for...
I struggled with this question quite a bit before ordering my SCREW 501A with 2.7/3.55 gears.
I finally concluded that the best source for the answer is the official 2021 Ford RV and Towing Guide (I believe that is the actual correct title - the "towing guide" part for sure). You need to look...
I have calculated actual mileage on my 2016 2.7 quite a few times and it is usually has been within two or three tenths mpg of what my onboard display shows. This is after the vehicle had 10,000 miles or so on it, if that makes any difference.
Correct - I just ordered my new one, so won't know payload for awhile....
My 16 302A/2.7 payload is 1525. Assuming my 501A will be less - 1400 to 1450 perhaps. That's OK, as it should still allow me to tow around 7000 lbs or a little more. My build with the Trailer Tow Package 53A has a tow...
New member here.......That's very encouraging! I just ordered a new 501A 2.7 /3.55 4x4 to replace my 16 302A 2.7 4x4, which has same axle but with 6 speed. The 16 has been an excellent and very capable truck for 75k miles.
