FP lowering kit finally installed! Sorry it took so long. There was an issue with the steeda rear stability bar, so that didn't get installed.
My initial driving impressions - looks cool and does not add any degree of discomfort to the drive. I haven't gone over really bad pavement yet, which...
Hey guys, sorry for the cliffhanger. It's in the shop for install right now. I'll post photos tomorrow showing both the lowering kit and the steeda rear stability bar, as well as give initial driving impressions.
Finally got the Ford Performance wheels put on. I went with 285/45R22s. Next up will be the FP lowering kit. The search continues for a good shop in the Kansas City area. I spoke to a local dealer, who quoted me $1200 to put it on... Nope. I've seen folks get it installed for $600-800 on here.
Thank you for that. I wonder if it's something Livernois can re-tune. By all accounts, they seem pretty responsive and user-friendly.
Have you reached out to them?
Quick question. Have you had any scraping on the 305s? I've seen a lot of traffic about choosing 285s instead of 305s to avoid needing to trim inside the wheel wells. Also, what's the style of wheel you mounted? Specifically, what's the offset?
Hey folks, dusting this one off. It's been well over a year for some of you... Do you still feel the same? Any regrets? Any mechanical demons spring up?
I had an UnderCover Ultra Flex on a previous truck for 6 years and it never failed. So... Naturally... I had to go with the same. Great looks and great function. @Realtruck
Getting there, folks. I've put on the new grille. I also just ordered the Ford Performance 22" wheels. I'll post pictures as soon as they're installed.
I just got weak and ordered the Ford Performance 22" gloss black wheels from Levittown Ford Parts. I'll throw them on in a few months, once the tires fully wear out on my 20"s. They'll likely get mounted before I put on the lowering kit.
I emailed Ford Performance yesterday, asking that same question- no response yet.
It states on their website that the kit can't be used with the high payload package, tremor, raptor, and limited trims, but does not explicitly say 20" or 22" wheels.
My assumption is that we'll have clearance...
Following this closely. I'd like to get your input, @Espi5.0. I just bought the full FP lowering kit as well, and would like to upgrade my lariat sport 20" wheels to the FP 22" wheels, but I'm concerned about spacers, control arms, rubbing, etc.
Side note, I won't be able to install the FP...
So far, I've upgraded the following:
1. Borla touring cat-back exhaust
2. Roush cold air intake
3. Ceramic tinted the front at 35%
4. Black tailgate lettering
5. Black tailgate Ford emblem
6. BAP gloss side vents
7. Husky wheel liners
Bought and on the way:
1. Ford performance lowering kit...
Hey folks, I've made the switch. My previous daily was a '13 Ram 1500 Sport, fully loaded. I'm now rocking a gently used '22 F-150 Lariat, Sport, 502A, 5.0l, 4WD, Rapid Red Metallic. My 5 year old son has named it the Scarlet Scorcher. So far, it's living up to it's name.
