When I purchased my 2013, the only option/accessory it had that I hadn't asked for was the tailgate step. I told the salesdude, sure, that's fine. (Even the color was right!) Turns out...that was the best $350 I ever spent! Every F150 since has had one specified, (the 2018 and now the 2021)...

Mine has been looking just like the pictures above... Dealer looked at it when it was in for windshield redo, they noticed scrapes on the bottom of the damn dam, took pictures to send off to the engineers at factory. They said they wanted to make sure the factory would pay for the repair...

Me too! Me too! I noticed it looks just like everyone's pictures. I mentioned it to the Service Writer on the phone when scheduling the windshield recall work...he is going to do research, so he is ready when I bring it in.

Similar concern when trailer is connected...I don't want to damage the tailgate dropping it onto the horse trailer.
