I installed some 2.5 degree shims this weekend and seems to have fixed everything. The low speed vibration went away and I did not feel anything up to 75MPH or so. It has only been a couple days but my MPG seemed to have also improved by 1-2 MPG.
It would be nice to have it a bit more level...
Same, I finally just gave up and kept it with the default tranny temp. Now the last two days I have the static from the B&O, seems mainly when I have Android Auto up and press the camera button.
I ended up ordering a digital angle guage and went ahead and ordered some 2.5 degree shims. I unfortunenty do not know what the pinion angle was stock. It also seems like they are all over the place with these trucks. I guess there is about a million different minor variations.
I checked, and I have two springs and a helper spring. I am not sure what max tow springs look like. I know my truck window sticker does not show the max tow package, it does have the tow technology package.
Did you install the shims? I just installed the lowering kit on my 2022 SCREW Powerboost with 5.5 bed (no max tow) and also have a vibration at around 25-19 mph.
Edit: Nevermind, I think I have the answer when you responded to my vibration thread.
So I installed M-3000-HB lowering shackles on my 2022 Lariat FX4 5.5 foot bed stock 20" wheels Powerboost (not max tow). Now I am feeling a vibration mostly during breaking between about 19-25 MPH. I haven't fully tested it out because I do not drive that slow very much. I do not remember it...
I ended up lifting from the pumpkin, I don't think my jack would be tall enough for the hitch. I did end up taking the tires off. With the suspension sag and the frame rails being a bit bendy it was easier then raising the jack stands even more.
Main try to torque the top bolt on the shackles...
Nevermind, looks like just carefully jacking from the pumpkin and not squish the cover is the way. I think the main reason Ford says don't do it, they are only showing how to change a tire with a scissor jack, not using a floor jack.
What is the best way to jack up the rear end to install lowering shackles. The manual only shows one side of the rear axle, that would work okay if I was changing a tire, but I need the whole back up in the are with the frame on stands. The manual says don't jack from the pumpkin, but I am not...
