Thanks Ford for the shortest new battery life span ever. Purchased new August 2023 F-150 STX, Screw , 5.0L
Battery Dead 27 months later
I now have 40k miles and even though I had reported battery draining etc to my dealer months ago “ they found nothing “
This is BS Ford
Perfect description. btw- looking at your toys ;) I had a 61 Ford Step Side I brought back from Texas in the early 80's. I would like to see a pic of your 500
You can not hear it at all cruising 55,70,75 mph. Its just like factory in the cab then. You hear it just as a nice, yet very noticeable, compared to stock , deeper Better, Improved, tone at start up along with accelerating at 1K-2K rpm's around town which is puuuuuurrrrrrrfect :) low deep V8...
Hey Graygoose, yes I remember when you put that nice touring cat back on after you tried another prior. No there is zero issue with CD annoyance ( Thank God lol ). I spent a long time reviewing, listening, talking to Borla before I went with this because of CD, Drone etc. It’s a deeper...
Sounds like this fwiw.............
I will do a clip some time in the future but, it basically sounds the same as this. And in person as with all these exhaust videos it is one or two levels louder and deeper
2023 F-150, Screw, STX, 5.0L welded in Borla #400436 (HD Truck/Touring) Muffler.
Note - This is the un-notched same muffler but for weld in as the #400500. Because my STX did not have a tip I also had welded in Summit Racing # SUM-690055-1 Polished S.S. Exhaust Tip.
Costs Ordered muffler...
Just ordered my stone guards.
BTW- I left my non active air dam on as is (so far). I do not mind that its flexible , helps with mileage, etc. . My truck is not leveled either. I am a builder/developer and use it for work and my dailey. These things are just accidents (active air dam and...
Update- mine did not throw a code (motor entire removal not just the blade) on my STX (XL)
Next I am removing the rear tire dams. Why? Check out how thin of a gauge the aluminum is they are attached to. If you just tap something with that silly hung down air dam it will bend up the body part...
The 5.0L engine was the primary reason (reliability, performance, dependability, fun) I purchased a brand new 2023. Don't overthink it - enjoy it. I am a small block guy but, if I did buy a 1/2 truck turbo it would likely be a Ford (most experience with) followed by the newer GM 2.7 (i4). Be...
Unfortunate imo because GM is an American owned, full sized truck (my preferred vehicle of choice) and besides Ford not many left. I have heard about the lifters, motor issues of recent small block V8 Chevy/GMC from some of my contractors. I like Chevy as well as Ford so I hope they get it...
I removed my active air dam, motors etc.
Thank You Author of this thread ! After some thought I decided to remove the active air dam and leave the front air dam on my purchased new, 2023 F-150 , screw , STX.
Why - as I don’t off road in the truest sense? Rather I hunt / fish / camp. As a...
Yes with the tire swap to those more aggressive (than stock) imo it looks good as is. Personally, I can not imagine not having some rake - but I use my f-150 as a truck, hauling a load in the bed or a trailer also. Even the Raptors have rake. To answer your question yes, I know some on here...
These Cooper Road & Trail are at the top of my current list. Added bonus Cooper is an American Owned Company rather than Asian owned - profits come back to the U.S. of A. Shocking how many tire manufacturers are imported - owned by Asian based companies. I was also looking at the Falcon...
