If I have an android phone is there a way to find out if the dealer did the correct update for the recall? I assume the answer is no seeing as it was done last Wed (April 13).

I too am wondering this. Had the recall done (supposedly) successfully.l yesterday. Still shows in the Ford pass app. How does a laymen like myself know if anything was actually done? I won't be hooking up my trailer for a couple weeks to test.

Thanks guys. My dealer service guy is saying that the update is available OTA. So I've confirmed my truck is connected to my WiFi and setup for automatic updates. Is there a way from the menus to confirm that this update has been applied?

JEB, is there a name or code for this software update? I'd like to quote that to my dealer to get it installed. I have had it in a couple times so it's been documented. Even had them do a full on diagnostic with Ford engineering

In Canada, it appears that Transport Canada is the place to lodge a complaint. I will be calling them tomorrow. I'd urge any other Canadians with the same problem to do the same. Likewise for you guys south of the border, seems like NHSTA is the place to go. Maybe we can make something happen!

Oh and when I say I think it's a "resistance issue", what I mean is that I think Ford has programmed the TBC with too tight a tolerance band for resistance, that represents whether a trailer is connected or not.
